Meet the old rage pensioners!

Inspired by Dylan Thomas's passionate plea to his dying father 'Do not go gentle into that good night' David Pattison's play 'The Dying of the Light' has horror at its core but is also funny and very moving.

Frustrated by the platitudes and lies of officialdom a group of pensioners decide to take matters into their own hands. They have in mind a peaceful protest march but a frail 75 year old has a different plan; one involving large amounts of petrol. The horrific consequences of her action have no effect on official policy but devastate her friends as they are forced to reconsider long held values and relationships.

The Dying of the Light was performed in Hull and at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2007 followed by a tour of East Riding villages in the spring of 2008. This well received play, written specifically for the older cast, can be made available for your group.
